Poets Corner

I think I will I know I must
In heart and mind I must have trust
In God alone to save my soul
The bells of time sounding the toll

Tell your friend, tell your enemy
Why the gates of hell were mine to see
A sinful past, this much is true
The Word of God I hardly knew

My armor sat inside the book
My shame of sin, I would not look
The evil came to take its place
To bind me to unearthly face

The Holy Spirit said unto me
"Call on your God....the call is free!"
My spirit ran to seek The Lord
Price of my soul, could not afford

Before the cross of life I pray
Oh God, please take my sins away!
The time is now to claim The Blood
When evil reigns here like a flood

Should have done this years ago
My God is real is all I know
